Teenager Bright Enobakhare scored on his senior debut, while fellow youngster Sheyi Ojo also found the net for Wolves for the first time as they earned a third round trip to fellow Championship side Middlesbrough in round three.

And the Wolves boss also reaffirmed that Benik Afobe was going nowhere, after confirming a second bid from Norwich City had been rejected.

The scoreline flattered the Bees, for Wolves were by far the more superior side and created a hat-ful of chances in a dynamic display.

Jackett said: "I felt we played very good football, I'm pleased with us, the only thing I can criticise if the finishing because we could have been out of sight by half time.

"I thought we had a good attitude, our football was good, we moved the ball well, created chances and played a proper game on the floor with good movement and exciting play going forward.

"I'm pleased with them collectively. Our work ethic, spirit and attitude were good and that's as important as how they moved the ball.

"It's a big week for us and we've started it well."

Nigerian-born Enobakhare was booked for over-celebrating his goal, for which Jackett admitted he showed naivety, but he praised the youngster for showing such ability during an explosive display.

Jackett protected the youngster by taking him off at half time, fearing he may have got himself a red card.

He said: "It just shows you how naive in some situations he is, because everybody knows you can't go and jump into the crowd and then he's toed the ball away and given a foul, but he'll come through that.

"He's a talented player, it's great for him to score, he showed good ability on the ball and while he may not be ready right now he's got a big future."

Wolves again went without keeping a clean sheet and conceded another goal from a corner, but Jackett said: "Overall it's hard to criticise my back four. Our two centre backs really did need to be strong and I thought they were excellent."

"We do want clean sheets but we also do want a winning mentality. It was a good performance and win and I was pleased with the players."

Among the back four was Ethan Ebanks-Landell, who was handed the captain's armband for the night.

"I hope it'll be a confidence boost for him. He was excellent tonight as he was on Saturday against Kenwyne Jones," Jackett said.

He's played three games this season now and they've all been very good."

Jackett said before the game that first team spots were up for grabs after the drab 2-0 defeat at Cardiff on Saturday.

Jack Price, Enobakhare, Ojo, Adam le Fondre and Sylvain Deslandes were among those to impress, and Jackett admitted he had been given food for thought.

"Several of them have played very well and done themselves no harm whatsoever," he said.

Speculation continues around star striker Afobe, who was an unused substitute against Barnet.

It is thought Norwich's second bid, believed to be around £8m, is way short of the kind of money Wolves would even consider selling Afobe for.

And Jackett again reaffirmed that the player would not be leaving Wolves in the near future.

"He's a Wolves player and when the window shuts he'll still be a Wolves player," he said.

"There is an enormous amount of speculation. But he won't be leaving.

"We're looking at the whole picture, the amount of time left in the window, the overall prices, there's so much to consider and everything points to Wolves not letting anybody go."
