Boss Kenny Jackett admits he hasn't yet found the right formula after defeat at Cardiff City.

Goals from Kenwyne Jones and Sammy Ameobi handed the Welsh side a 2-0 win, with Wolves failing to register a shot on target.

For all their possession Wolves lacked a cutting edge and Jackett, who recalled Carl Ikeme in goal only for the keeper to be at fault for the Bluebirds' opening goal, said his team must improve.

"For a high amount of possession we look very impotent going forward and that's not necessarily like us," a disappointed Jackett said.

"We've got some good players but I don't think we've necessarily got the right mix yet.

"We need the right reaction to adversity, the right attitude, the right spirit, the right selection of pass at the right time, addressing those issues to stop what is ultimately a disappointing loss."

Ikeme's recall was one of four changes from the team that lost 3-2 to Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday, as Jackett freshened up a team that was playing its third game in a week.

He said of his changes: "For Carl to come back in was a big chance for him. For Emi (Martinez) and for Carl they're fighting for that No.1 jersey.

"Going forward we played Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday and certainly the two wide men, Van La Parra and Ojo, I felt would give us fresh energy coming in.

"I don't think we've got (the mix) right yet, we've won one game which tells its own story."
