Wolves name new head of recruitment

Wolves have appointed former Fulham midfielder John Marshall as their new head of recruitment.

The 50-year-old made more then 400 appearances during his playing career and has work in both coach and work in recruitment,

It includes many years scouting for the England senior team and other age groups.

Marshall, who has lived in Wolverhampton for the last decade, spent most of last season as head of recruitment at Nottingham Forest.

He now joins Wolves following the departure of Stuart Webber to become Huddersfield's director of football earlier this summer.

Wolves head of football development and recruitment Kevin Thelwell said: "We are delighted to welcome John to the club.

"He is very experienced, through his time with Fulham, the FA, and also Nottingham Forest.

"He is also a local guy who actually lives in Wolverhampton although he wasn't from here originally.

"He is going to bring a lot of expertise and experience to the department and we are looking forward to working with him."
