Midfielders Kevin McDonald and Jack Price are both available for Wolves' season-opener at Blackburn this Saturday after recovering from minor injuries.

Price was forced off late on during the 4-3 win at Doncaster on Saturday after taking a knock to the ankle, while McDonald missed the game with a back injury.

However both are back in training this week.

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett said of McDonald: "He trained on Monday morning and is fully fit.

"Had it been a league game on Saturday he possibly could have played but we didn't want to risk anything so we left him out completely.

"He played well against Villa I felt and he was ready. With a good week's training now he'll be fine for Blackburn."

However the Blackburn game comes too soon for Jed Wallace and George Saville, who are training but won't be considered for the Ewood Park clash.

Both have knee injuries which have prevented them from playing any part of Wolves' pre-season campaign.

Jackett added: "Wallace and Saville will certainly play some part in training this week although they won't be available for Saturday."

Wolves' only other injury victim is captain Danny Batth, who is still on track to return to training next week.
