Razak Boukari won't be part of Kenny Jackett's Wolves plans - until the winger can prove his fitness.

The £2.5m signing has only featured four times in the league during three years at the club and has just 12 months left on his current deal.

He has been injury-free since March but returned for pre-season training unable to sprint at full speed.

Jackett last week revealed his disappointment with Boukari, saying his lack of fitness was 'very poor'.

And he is discounting the Togo international until that situation changes.

"If somebody's injured or not quite there then it's hard to plan with them," Jackett said.

"He's done some football sessions, but again in those sessions he didn't feel 100 per cent.

"Until he does present himself 100 per cent fit and says he's ready then it can't be something that I'm considering."

Wolves face Burton Albion on Saturday in their first domestic pre-season fixture of the campaign.

But Boukari won't feature in that game and will be assessed again next week.

"If I'm planning for this week, working around the games, the team on Saturday going forward towards Blackburn.

"You're formulating those things and then injured players do go on the back-burner for you.

"You speak to your physio but it's really on to somebody else and that's where it's been with Razak.

"I want some competition, I want a really good start to the season, I want to produce a side on August 8 that is capable of going and winning games."
