Donovan Wilson struck a late winner, while Connor Ronan and Bright Enobakhare also shone as Paris FC were defeated 1-0.

Declan Weeks, Aaron Hayden and goalkeepers Jon Flatt and Harry Burgoyne has also joined the squad in France and shown promising signs during both matches.

Rowe said of the youngsters: "They've fitted in really well and I've been really impressed.

"They've got good attitudes and have applied themselves to training, and off the field as well.

"That's all you can ask of the young lads. There's a very bright future for them if they work hard this season."

Rowe played on the left side of a three-man midfield in a 4-3-1-2 formation.

And he felt the system suited him - and Wolves - well.

"I've played there a few times in my Peterborough days so I'm comfortable in it, it's natural for me to play in that position, I really enjoyed it and we played some good football.

"I've seen Ethan Ebanks-Landell play in midfield before and Dave Edwards and Conor Coady had the legs to get about, you've got to move as a unit in those positions and we did that.

"It's something to learn from and something to build on."

Rowe is now focusing on building up his fitness after experiencing an injury-hit debut year in gold and black.

He, like the vast majority of the squad, played a full 45 minutes in both games as the players edge closer to fitness.

"It was a good game, very hot to play in, but enjoyable," he added.

"I wanted to make sure I was fit this pre-season after getting injured last year and it's been good to get two games under my belt.

"It's been a fantastic week with some good training and we'll take the positives from it and move on for the rest of pre-season."
