The striker trained at the academy as a young teenager and welcomed the chance to return with Wolves.

Mali international Dicko signed a new three-year contract shortly before the Clairefontaine trip and he said everything was gearing up for the new season.

"The facilities here are very good and it's good the club shows it wants us to be in the best conditions," Dicko said. "I've been here a few times when I was about 13, 14.

"I've got some good and bad memories but it's a good feeling to be back here.

"I'm really happy with the way the club trust me with my new contract.

"It means a lot to me to feel the support of the club and the manager and the reaction of the fans has been good.

"I've been saying this for a long time, I really wanted to stay at Wolves.

"I'm really happy to have signed and I can't wait for next season."

Dicko also praised young striker Bright Enobakhare, who scored a late winner during Wolves' 3-2 win against FC Chambly on Wednesday.

"The way he has trained has been fantastic, he has been brilliant, sometimes the best in training," said Dicko.

"It's good Wolves have some young players coming through like him
