Michael Jacobs and Benik Afobe had given Wolves a 2-1 half time lead, in what was an entertaining game and a good workout for Kenny Jackett's squad.

Back came Chambly with an equaliser but they were not able to hold on, with young striker Bright Enobakhare striking a late winner.

Boss Jackett picked what was arguably his strongest available team, with Afobe and Nouka Dicko leading the Wolves attack.

New signing Coady was in midfield alongside Kevin McDonald, whose contract situation remains up in the air.

Jacobs was given a chance to claim the left wing spot made vacant by the departed Bakary Sako and Jonathan Flatt started in goal, with first-choice Carl Ikeme sent home yesterday with a knee injury.
