Wolves boss Kenny Jackett welcomed the team's opening pre-season victory over FC Chambly - but warned there's still a lot to work on.
Goals from Michael Jacobs, Benik Afobe and Bright Enobakhare gave Wolves a 3-2 victory at the prestigious Clairefontaine academy in France.
After Wolves' first game for two months the head coach felt there were positives and negatives to Wolves' play.
He said: "It's nice to play games - there's nothing like it in terms of getting into rhythm and players being able to find their feet.
"We had a good couple of weeks of fitness training and we just need to keep playing games now.
"It was nice to get some goals, Benik off the mark, young Bright got one, Michael Jacobs got a good header as well.
"There's plenty to build on there and we're looking forward to Friday (against Paris FC)."
There were plenty of meaty challenges in a competitive game, particularly in the first half.
And Jackett welcomed what was a good test from third-tier French side Chambly.
"There were a lot of challenges and yes it was competitive which is good," he said.
"No way was it a stand-off game, both sides were trying to win and were going for it.
"There are things we need to work on, I felt we played in front of them a little bit.
"We have got some very quick players and I do think at the right time we need to be able to put the ball behind the opposition and work and make sure we have enough movement to be able to find the holes and find the pace up front, which we didn't really do today."
Jacobs made a good start to his audition for the vacant left-wing spot with the game's opening goal.
Jackett said of the former Derby man: "He will be keen to impress me throughout pre-season.
"The left side was filled by Jacobs in the first half and Tommy Rowe in the second half, and there's Jed Wallace out injured, they're the people that have the options but it was a really good header by Jacobs after a good ball by Conor Coady."

Jackett fielded 23 players in all, with a different team starting the second half bar goalkeeper Jon Flatt.
And the manager was impressed with the youngsters on show, including midfielder Connor Ronan and striker Donovan Wilson, who went close with three late chances.
"Connor Ronan's got a lot of ball playing ability, you can see that, despite a diminutive stature," Jackett said.
"He's deceptively strong and can change direction very well.
"Bright Enobakhare has had a good week with us as well and it's nice that he got the winner because his finishing is very good.
"Donovan Wilson has some pace, he's just come in from Bristol Rovers and he can get down the sides and is a young striker that will predominantly play in the under-21s this season.
"His pace to us is interesting and something we think we can develop as a club."
With Carl Ikeme having left the tour with an injured knee and Aaron McCarey back in Wolverhampton awaiting his FA hearing for failing a drug test, 20-year-old Flatt and 18-year-old Harry Burgoyne took on the goalkeeping duties.
Jackett said that for Flatt it was a good opportunity to show what he could do.
"He make some good saves," Jackett said.
"He's a local lad and as it stands at the moment with Aaron McCarey awaiting his case and Carl Ikeme injured he's in there for us and it's very, very good experience for him to come into the first team setup and be able to play, it's very good for the future."
