Wolves pull out of the race for Chris Wood

Wolves have pulled out of the race to sign Leicester City striker Chris Wood, it can be revealed.

It is believed City want £3million for the former West Brom man - a figure Wolves are not prepared to match.

Championship rivals Leeds United have stumped up the cash and Wood will sign for the Yorkshire club imminently.

It was initially thought that Leicester would have accepted around the £1million mark for the New Zealand international, but sources have revealed that the figure is three times that amount.

The 23-year-old has just 12 months left on his deal at the King Power Stadium and cost the Foxes around £2million, plus add-ons, when he moved from Albion in 2013.
