Wolves players have been baring their teeth to show they've got the bite for a Championship promotion challenge next season.

An inspirational video filmed at Molineux – and featuring a snarling wolf-dog roaming the hallowed turf – has proved a hit with fans.

Danny Batth, Nouha Dicko, Carl Ikeme and the out-of-contract Bakary Sako star in the two-minute video.

In it, the quartet list the attributes and skills that helped the team maintain a pulsating late promotion charge last season, which saw the team finish outside the play-offs on goal difference only.

And the players enjoyed it so much they've all requested copies – while there's already a waiting list of those who want to appear in next season's video.

It first surfaced at the club's end-of-season awards last month and is available to view online.

Shots were filmed at Molineux and at Himley Plantation, where the specially-assigned wolf-dog prowled the wood for some atmospheric scenes.

Steve Thomas, advertising manager at Wolves, said: "Our players have now come to expect our end of season videos to be visually spectacular.

"Hence there was a great interest in getting involved with the filming process. All four lads were very impressed with the final cut and seeing how it all materialised.

"The same applied to the rest of their teammates, so much so that there is already a waiting list to get involved next season."

Director and editor Dan Harris, from DRP Group, added the video was weeks in the making.

He added: "We've done these videos with Wolves for eight years and have long talked about having a comparison between Wolves players and an actual wolf.

"It was designed to get the fans going. Listing the attributes of the players is a nice concept to get the crowd geared up.

"Apparently a few of the lads watched before it was first shown and their reaction was 'wow'."
