Wolves are the penalty kings in the Bitzer Cup

A dramatic penalty shoot-out victory saw Wolves under-19s end the season in style by lifting the Bitzer Cup.

The Wolves youngsters defeated Mexican outfit Chivas Guadalajara 5-4 on spot-kicks in Germany, goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne finishing the hero after making the crucial save.

Jordan Graham, who was named player of the tournament, had earlier been on target as the game finished 1-1.

Wolves had reached the final without conceding, beating Red Star Belgrade 2-0 in the semi-finals thanks to a brace from Connor Ronan, Graham assisting in both.

A 0-0 draw against Ajax Cape Town in the final group game saw Wolves make the semis as group winners.

Wolves kept three clean sheets in their group. Burgoyne was in goal for the first two games and Rhys Mason-Bills against Ajax.

In their opening game they overcame Stuttgart 1-0 with 10 men after Bright Enobakhare was sent off for kicking out, Ronan netting.

They made it two wins out of two with a 2-0 victory over holdersZurich, Graham scoring both, the first a penalty.

Wolves Under-15s were champions in Germany after beating Lokomotive Leipzig, Den Haag, Rotterdam, Stuttgart and Essen in the final.

Midfielder Brad Carr was named player of the tournament.
