Boss Kenny Jackett is tipping Dominic Iorfa for the very top – if the teenage Wolves right-back can perfect his final ball.

The head coach thinks the 19-year-old, last week crowned the club's Young Player of the Season, is close to becoming the complete full-back.

Now Jackett wants to see Iorfa improve his decision-making in and around the box, in order to make the next step.

The Wolves chief said: "I do see his pace being an asset going forward so, very much now, it depends how he develops.

"We've got good options at right-back and I also feel at the moment we're very strong at centre-back.

"For him, using his pace going forward but also being secure defensively is good.

"He now has to decide when to turn inside and maybe just keep the ball or go outside.

"I'm always saying 'go on – take that chance' because if you can get that first yard away from someone, they won't catch you. So being able to go on the outside and attack is a option.

"Then when he's up and around the box, his final-ball selection or shot are the things we're specifying on top of a very good, generally solid defensive base he gives us a full-back."

Iorfa made 22 appearances for Wolves after making his debut in December's 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth.

His performances saw him keep the more experienced Matt Doherty out of the team and he became a firm favourite with fans.

Jackett added: "He's made a fantastic impression and the supporters have taken to him,

"I don't know many right-backs that have got a song about them – it's usually the centre-forward isn't it? That just shows you how well he's done and how popular he is.

"He's showed fantastic improvement, development and potential and we feel and I'm sure the supporters feel, there's big improvements to come as well. His pace and athleticism are terrific."
