The 22-year-old striker has taken this season by storm and led the country's goalscoring charts with 32 goals going into this weekend, with the Premier League having three games left.

Afobe has played for England Under-20s but never for the Under-21s.

But Kortney Hause, who has represented England Under-20s this season, believes Afobe is good enough for Roy Hodgson's Three Lions.

Hause said: "One hundred per cent he should be considered - I think he should be considered for the senior team.

"Thirty-two goals in a season is very hard to do and he's done it at such a young age and at such a good level.

"He's an England senior player in the making, 100 per cent."

Nineteen of Afobe's goals were on loan at League One Milton Keynes Dons before he hit 13 in 21 for Wolves, following his £2million move from Arsenal in January.

And Hause reckons Afobe can repeat this season's haul at Championship level.

The 19-year-old said: "I believe he can do it over a season. He's a quality striker who knows where the goal is and he's always going to score goals."

Hause also believes Afobe can make the step up to the Premier League, adding; "No matter what level he plays at, he's always going to score goals.

"He's just got that eye for goal and is a very good player. He's not just a goalscorer - he can pick the ball up at the halfway line and dribble it and carry the team."

Meanwhile, Hause insists Wolves are already over their disappointment at missing out on the play-offs and are planning for next season.

He said: "We've all got together and spoke about it and we're already to bounce back and prepare for next season and give it a real good go like we did this season.

"We're all young and hungry lads so we want to do well. We've started preparing for next season already so we're already taking things seriously.

"Personally, I've had 17 games in the Championship this season which has done me the world of good and got me ready for next season."
