Doyle, a £6.5million club-record signing in 2009, is on the move from Molineux to join Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids.

In truth, the 31-year-old's Wolves career was always going to be over at the end of his contract, having fallen out of the starting line-up.

But the Republic of Ireland international had battled back into the first-team fold, making substitute appearances towards the end of the season.

That seemed far fetched when he was shipped out on loan to Queens Park Rangers and then Crystal Palace, as the club tried to cut their losses.

Doyle, at least, got to end his time with Wolves on a relatively high note, in front of the home fans. Here he talks about the good, the bad and the ugly.
