Can Wolves really make the Championship play-offs? It's out of their hands but you can never rule out anything on the last day of the season.

If it doesn't come off, Wolves will be unlucky - no team has needed more than 76 points to get into the second tier top six in a 46-game season.

First, they need to beat Millwall at Molineux on Saturday, with the visitors now relegated. Will the Lions suffer a hangover from that or play without fear and pressure?

They hope their exploits will be better then Brentford's result at home to Wigan, who are also going down after Rotherham's win on Tuesday night.

The Bees ended a five-match wait for a win last weekend and a have a goal difference of four better than Wolves.

All will pale into insignificance if Derby County, who hold sixth place, so much as draw at home to Reading. A point would put them out of sight.

A stalemate would be entirely believable - Derby have won just two in 12 and 19th-placed Reading have gone eight matches without a victory.

If Wolves win and that isn't enough, they will make history. It would be the highest points total that wasn't good enough to make the play-offs on 78.
