Jackett revealed on Thursday that several clubs had been interested in taking Ricketts on loan, and the Welsh international, who has family ties in Swindon, has opted to join the Robins.

The 33-year-old is on Welsh international duty for their Euro 2016 qualifier with Israel next Saturday, and will join up with Swindon upon his return.
