Wolves boss Kenny Jackett admits he is considering a recall for Kevin Doyle for tonight's visit of Derby.

Doyle's move to Colorado Rapids has stalled and the 31-year-old could earn his first Wolves start since January 3, 2014.

Head coach Jackett is expecting a far more cagey affair than Tuesday's at times rampaging 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Doyle has impressed Jackett in training and the Molineux chief may recall Doyle in place of Nouha Dicko to help hold the ball up in attack, after four appearances off the bench.

Kortney Hause could also regain his spot at left-back at the first attempt to cope with Derby's dangerman Tom Ince.

Jackett said: "Kevin's been limited to sub appearances since he's come back but, from looking at him in training, I wouldn't hesitate to play him if I think it's right.

"His move has been 'parked' for quite a long time and, if he's here, I wouldn't hesitate to use him.

"I'm very pleased he's here because I've got a lot of young forwards and Kevin is a very experienced forward.

"He's the type of player with his back to goal that could help us at the right time as well.

"He's popular with the crowd so I'm very pleased he's here and if that continues, I'll keep putting him in the 18."

Derby are without 19-goal top scorer Chris Martin, John Eustace, Jake Buxton and Omar Mascarell.

Boss Steve McClaren has to weigh up whether to recall former Albion midfielder George Thorne and on-loan Villa striker Darren Bent, after five and four games out respectively.

But Jackett admits Wolves can't afford to play as gung-ho against Derby as they were against Sheffield Wednesday.

"Probably not. I think each game tactically can be different," said the boss.

Meanwhile, Richard Stearman is available after his injury scare on Tuesday night.

The in-form defender trained yesterday and is expected to take his place alongside Danny Batth.

"The problem he had was neural but it cleared up very quickly which is very good news for us," said Jackett.
