Nouha Dicko looks set for a recall as Wolves prepare to gamble in attack in their Molineux double-header as they bid to hit the play-off zone this week.

Dicko was impressive coming off the bench in the last half-hour of Saturday's 1-1 draw at Brighton as Wolves saw the gap closed to the top six to three points after defeats for Brentford and Ipswich.

And with Sheffield Wednesday and Derby at Molineux tomorrow and Friday respectively, the 22-year-old could find himself back in the starting line-up as head coach Jackett looks to go on the offensive on home soil.

Jackett switched from a 4-2-3-1 formation to 4-4-2 for the last 30 minutes at Brighton after Dicko replaced 'number 10' James Henry.

"I felt Dicko came on strongly and I was pleased with him," said the boss.

"He's a very good option going into these home games when we're going to need all of these players.

"He looked like he was back to full energy and caused problems.

"We've played that front four (Dicko, Bakary Sako, Rajiv Van La Parra and Benik Afobe) quite a lot and you need a service to them.

"That's the balance and I'm pleased we have those players.

"It was a great turn at the end where he set up Sako. The defender half pulled him but he showed enough composure not to just smash it across goal but pick out Sako on his left foot.

"It's about finishers and providers, and the balance between the two and we also have a senior striker in Kevin Doyle."

Brentford's surprise 2-1 home defeat to Cardiff and Ipswich's 4-1 loss at Middlesbrough has given Wolves renewed hope.

Jackett challenged Wolves to up their levels by five per cent and use this week's Molineux double-header to hit the play-off zone for the first time since November 4.

"With two key home games this week we really have to concentrate and give it everything," said the boss.
