An independent regulatory panel at the FA decided Sako's clash with Fernando Forestieri in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Watford was not a sending off offence.

The decision means the 26-year-old winger is available, after all, for the next three games.

They come away to Brighton on Saturday and at home to Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County a week on Tuesday and Friday respectively, rather than being banned for those fixtures

Video and written evidence formed Wolves' defence, after Forestieri fouled Sako then appeared to push towards him only for the Watford substitute to suddenly collapse to the ground clutching his face.

The actions of the Argentinian forward incensed Wolves' players, fans and head coach Kenny Jackett.

Wolves released a statement saying: "After appealing the sending off for a confrontation with Fernando Forestieri, Wolves today received confirmation from the FA that the decision has been overturned.

"Having initially receiving the card for violent conduct, Sako was due to miss Wolves' next three games.

"But, after today's decision, the 26-year-old will be available for Saturday's trip to Brighton & Hove Albion."

Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett said: "We're delighted Bakary's red card has been overturned.

"It's great news for everyone at the club and we can now look forward to Saturday's game with him available to us."

It's the second time this season Wolves have had a red card overturned, after the FA ruled Rajiv van La Parra should not have been sent off in the 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth on December 6.
