Boss Kenny Jackett today insisted buoyant Wolves can make the most of a 'crucial' week in their Championship season.

Wolves play two teams above them in the next five days – Bournemouth away tomorrow before Jackett's old club Watford at home on Saturday.

And the head coach reckons his side have the capability to finally gatecrash the top six after their third straight win – 1-0 at Cardiff on Saturday – saw them close the gap.

"You have to handle different tests – Bournemouth will be slightly different because they're a very good footballing side while Watford have a bit of both," said Jackett.

"But we've had good games against both sides earlier in the season and I'm sure this week will be crucial.

"It's a thin dividing line in getting the balance of being solid enough defensively and being a real threat to score enough goals.

"But I feel going forwards now, when the spaces are there, if we can make the right decisions, we'll create chances."

Jackett also pledged to carry on attacking after Wolves took their tally to 13 goals scored in the last five games since switching to 4-4-2.

"I don't go away from home and try to get a draw," he said.

"We set up the side to try to win, so that's not going to change tomorrow night.

"But to get that win we're going to need to be resilient and defend."

Higher-placed Derby, Middlesbrough and Brentford all lost at the weekend but Jackett urged his players to concentrate on their own form.

"We can all look around at results, particularly at this stage of the season, when games start to reduce because what happens around the country does affect you," he said.

"But really it's down to our own performance, and us as a club and as a team to try to improve."

Danny Batth made his 100th appearance for Wolves on Saturday – also his 80th consecutive league game. He has started every game under Jackett's reign.
