The former West Brom and Manchester United shot-stopper reached the Championship's end-of-season showpiece last season with Brighton.

The Seagulls scraped in by a point ahead of Reading despite opening the campaign with two defeats and winning just once in nine games through September and October.

And Kuszczak believes two or three results can change everything in a division where so many teams are close in standard.

The 32-year-old, who missed just five games for Brighton in 2013-14, said: "There are still many games left.

"I know if you look at the table you might think we have lost ground a little bit, but believe me, two or three games in this division can change everything.

"I've seen that over the last two seasons with Brighton – we were close then we were far away but we still managed to get into the play-offs.

"We can do it but we have to work hard and be focused and positive."

Wolves' eight-match unbeaten run was ended by Reading last weekend and they go to play-off rivals Norwich on Saturday.

Kuszczak added: "Every run has to finish somewhere and ours finished on Saturday.

"We need to be focused and give more and try to win the next game, which we're able to do."

The Poland international was playing only his second game in eight months last night, but insists he is ready for an extended run in the team with Carl Ikeme out for up to eight weeks with a broken toe.

He said: "I am well prepared, I have made some saves, I feel good and quick and I feel focused. I can assure everyone I'm ready and prepared for more than two games.

"Carl has done extremely well this season and has played very well but injuries happen in football."
