Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Reading ended a sequence of eight league games without a loss, the longest at this level since the club record 21-match unbeaten run under Glenn Hoddle in 2005.

Wolves go to bogey team Huddersfield Town tomorrow, before travelling to play-off rivals Norwich City on Saturday.

And Batth challenged his team-mates to make themselves hard to beat again to close the five-point gap to the play-off places.

He added: "I said to the lads in the dressing room we've been on a good run, now let's start another one. We've got plenty of time and we've got enough games left.

"We've got two big matches this week and it's a chance to take six points, so there's nothing that can stop us. It's down to us."

The 24-year-old defender made his 150th full League appearance at the weekend, the last 75 of them consecutively.

Head coach Kenny Jackett made five changes but Batth insists the players are confident in each other's ability.

He said: "That's the manager's selection but we're confident in whoever he picks to deliver."

Wolves again struggled to create chances, but Batth feels the efforts of the players will be rewarded.

He said: "If we'd have kept the two goals out we'd have won 1-0, so it's a team effort and we've got to keep working hard and keep giving the forward players good balls to deal with.

"Look at Rajiv van La Parra's cross for Benik Afobe's goal – it was excellent and he has that in his locker.

"Benik worked his socks off and credit too to Nouha Dicko – he tried to do all he could and that sums up the team spirit we've got here."

Batth insists supporters retain the belief that the team can reach the play-offs, saying: "I fully believe the fans are behind us and they can see what we're trying to do.

"They know it's a rocky road, but we'll keep going."
