Both clubs confirmed the deal shortly after 11pm, with Clarke heading to the DW Stadium on a deal until the end of the season.

Clarke has slipped down the pecking order with the arrival of £2million striker Benik Afobe from Arsenal and is out-of-contract in the summer.

He's made 19 appearances this season and scored two match-winners as a substitute, netting at Leeds United and Sheffield United.

The Wolverhampton-born forward, 29, returned to his home-town club for around £750,000 from Coventry City in January of last year.
