The flying Dutchman was man of the match in Saturday's 2-0 win against Blackpool when he looked a threat every time he got on the ball and set up the opener for Dave Edwards.

And the 23-year-old wide man believes he will only improve after adapting to the English game.

He said: "Coming over here from another country and adapting for a different style of football was going to take time.

"But the more games I've played, the more I've done that and I think it can get better and better.

"If you're in the kind of flow I'm in and the team are in you just want it to carry on."

Van La Parra is still to find the net in the league but believes his strike against Fulham in the FA Cup has helped ease the pressure.

He said: "I was getting too concerned about trying for my first goal so that was playing a part in my mind. I feel more relaxed about it now."

Van La Parra is also happy to play up front after being used in a more central role recently.

He said: "It's good to improve myself by playing in a different position," he said. "The gaffer knows I can play there if he needs."

And the winger revealed he is inspired by the Molineux crowd after over 28,000 watched last week's 2-0 win against Blackpool.

He said: "It was a nice tribute for Sir Jack and their support gives me more confidence when I'm on the ball.

Van La Parra was taken for dinner after the game by one-time cult hero and fellow Dutchman John De Wolf, who was at the game to pay tribute to Sir Jack Hayward.

He said: "It was great to meet John. He gave me a hug like we were old friends. We discussed lots about Wolves. He had a feeling he didn't accomplish his mission here.

"It was great for him to get the reaction from the fans. He said that was really nice because it doesn't happen like that in Holland and he was really pleased with how welcome he was made to feel.

"There was also a picture with I think 28 legends of Wolves and he was on it and he loved that!"
