An emotional Molineux will be packed to the rafters to salute the life of the former Wolves chairman, owner and life president who died on Tuesday.

And the head coach expects a fitting tribute from the fans who adored the hugely charismatic Wolverhampton-born multi-millionaire as one of their own.

Ahead of tomorrow's clash with Blackpool, he said: "For someone that's been a favourite son of the city, and in particular the club as owner for 17 years, he's been a massive contributor to Wolves and he'll be very well remembered.

"So tomorrow, in that instance, is going to be a special day. He redeveloped Molineux, which I remember when I went there when the stands were just starting to be built.

"His legacy is immeasurable in terms of the club and the city. And if you're talking about legacies, he started this particular development at the training ground which is reasonably recent.

"Graham Taylor was here as the manager in 1995 and, at that time, they were training on a factory pitch. It's a sad loss for his family but also at 91-years-old, a celebration of his life."

Jackett revealed Sir Jack's support for Wolves was such he kept in contact with him right up until recently.

He said: "I spoke to him quite a few times over the last 18 months, including at the end of last season and over the summer.

"He was very keen on promoting home-grown players, very interested in the team's development and the new players coming in, but also younger players that have since made the first-team."

Jackett wants Wolves to 'win it for Sir Jack,' as they aim to continue their five-match unbeaten league run.

He said: "We're eighth in the league and we're looking to consistently improve now."
