The former Albion and Manchester United keeper's short-term deal expires at the end of the month and boss Kenny Jackett is set for talks over the next few days.

Head coach Jackett wants to keep the 32-year-old at Molineux, but is concerned the Poland international may seek a move elsewhere because of a lack of action.

Kuszczak hasn't played for Wolves yet since he signed on November 3 and has been understudy to first-choice Carl Ikeme. Aaron McCarey is out until at least next month and although Jackett has Jonathan Flatt back from his loan at Wrexham, he has previously indicated he didn't want to expose the third-choice Sedgley-based shot-stopper to the Championship yet. And with Flatt set for more experience out on loan, Jackett wants to keep Kuszczak if possible.

"We've been pleased with Tomasz but there is a discussion to be had because I think he's quite keen to be viewed as a number one as well," said the head coach.

"If there is a possibility of working it out, we do want to keep him. But his own options and where else he can go are considerations, because he hasn't actually played a game for us yet.

"I've been pleased with him and I like his ability, experience and attitude."

Meanwhile, Jackett confirmed former Manchester City Under-21s defender George Swan has signed to the end of the season and not January, as was first thought.
