Bjorn Sigurdarson wants a Wolves future
Forgotten man Bjorn Sigurdarson wants to be the missing link in Wolves' attack and finally prove himself a hit in England.
The £2.4million striker is back training at Wolves and wants a fresh chance at Molineux, after holding clear-the-air talks with head coach Kenny Jackett.
He said: "He wants to prove himself at Wolves and he wants to prove himself in English football. He did have a bad hamstring/back injury but he's back training and fit and available."
Asked if he was prepared to give the Icelandic forward a fresh chance, Jackett said: "We'll see. He hasn't regular front line time.
"But he's a Wolves player so I'd always consider every player and I'll see how he looks. It's his aim and ambition to do very well here and do well in English football.
"That's where he is, he wants to work hard, be as professional as possible and see where it takes him. He's match fit, he's OK, training and has no problems at all."
Sigurdarson has spent the last year on loan at Norwegian side Molde, winning a title winner's medal after an injury-interrupted spell of three goals in 15 games.
The Molineux boss has been searching for the right combination up front all season, after allowing Yannick Sagbo and Danny Graham to return to Hull City and Sunderland respectively after loans.
Nouha Dicko was out injured until recently, coming on top of a string of disappointments in the transfer market.
And Jackett could even select Sigurdarson for the FA Cup third-round replay at home to Fulham next Tuesday.
The Wolves boss said: "As for the FA Cup replay, I'll have a look. It will be Sunday night before I really do consider Tuesday."
Wolves will have Kortney Hause (concussion) back for Sunday's trip to Blackburn and Kevin McDonald back from suspension after a one-match ban
