The teenage defender made his debut in last week's win at Sheffield Wednesday and helped Wolves end their miserable five-match losing run.

Hause loved every minute of his Championship bow, but felt he could have played better.

The 19-year-old, who joined Wolves last January from Wycombe Wanderers, said: "It was a good win for the team and ended the disappointing run of successive defeats.

"And it was important to keep a clean sheet as well. But if I am being honest about my own personal performance I could have done better.

"Hopefully I have done enough to keep my place in the team so I can improve my personal performance and can feel better in myself after the game.

"Obviously though the team is the most important thing and I am very happy for everyone that we won such an important game and got three points.

"For me it's about continuing to develop and improve and being honest about my own performance."

Boss Kenny Jackett included Hause at left-back to deputise for the suspended Matt Doherty, though Hause admits he is more of a centre-back.

He said: "Everyone knows I have played more football at centre-back but I am happy to play anywhere if it means I am in the team.

"I will always play to the best of my ability and try and do a job for the team."
