Boss Kenny Jackett today urged Wolves to go for the throat against Brighton at Molineux.

The Seagulls are on an horrendous run with manager Sami Hyypia on the brink of losing his job.

However, Jackett says there will be no sentiment afforded to his counterpart when Brighton arrive at Molineux on Saturday.

Wolves rid themselves of their own demons by ending a five-match losing streak on Saturday as they beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0.

And the head coach is focused on his own issues, rather than Hyypia's potential exit.

Jackett said: "Brighton is a big game for us now. We want to back up two good performances (against Bournemouth and Sheffield Wednesday).

"After a good result and a battling performance on Saturday, we need to battle as much as we did against Sheffield when we play Brighton and then try to add quality and control to our play if we can."

Brighton, third from bottom in the Championship table, have won just three times this season but Jackett is wary of Hyypia's side.

He said: "I don't look too much into past form. You can always win a game of football, whoever you play.

"Our approach won't vary. We will try to win the game but we won't underestimate them.

"I watched the Brighton match on Friday against Millwall and they had the better of the game. They were unlucky to lose that one.

"Finishing is a big part of football, particularly in close games. It's a part that perhaps hasn't been going for them."

Wolves, however, hope their own confidence-sapping sequence is firmly in the past and they can regenerate plenty of momentum for the Christmas matches.

For all the positives in performance in the last two weeks, recording a win on Saturday, courtesy of Leon Clarke's goal, was the most crucial.

Jackett said: "The result is a big part of getting confidence back.

"It was a battling performance and I felt, particularly in the second half, we came through that physical test and had a lot of chances. That's very encouraging. "
