Wolves believe justice has been done with Rajiv Van La Parra's sending off being overturned. But they must do without full-back Doherty after the FA rejected his case.

Doherty, who will miss games against Sheffield Wednesday, Brighton and Watford, was dismissed in stoppage time, despite seemingly winning the ball in a challenge with Brett Pitman.

"The second one, (Doherty) has taken the ball with his left leg and his second leg is passive," he said.

Banned - Matt Doherty's red card for Wolves in the same game against Bournemouth has been upheld.

"If that second leg is high, if it is part of a double-footed challenge, then it is a straight red. But in my opinion we had a case for both to be overturned."

Both players were sent off by referee Mike Jones in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth, decisions which led to chairman Steve Morgan confronting the official.

Van La Parra's 58th-minute red card, following an aerial collision with the Cherries' Steve Cook, proved the turning point after Wolves had led 1-0 but finished losing 2-1.

Wolves appealed for wrongful dismissals and the FA's independent regulatory commission gave its verdict yesterday afternoon.

Van La Parra will now be available to face Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn said he feared for his own safety in the aftermath of his side's controversial win at Molineux.

"It was very intimidating," he said. "I managed to get into a car that their chief executive Jez Moxey provided for me because I had a lot of abuse myself after the game.

"I had my Bournemouth coat on and the boys thought it was ill-advised for me to set foot outside."
