The on-loan Sunderland striker has spent the week training with his new team-mates and is convinced Kenny Jackett's side have what it takes to clinch a return to the Premier League.

Graham, who was set for a debut in gold and black today against Nottingham Forest at Molineux, knows what it takes to be successful in the second tier.

The 29-year-old won the Championship's Golden Boot in 2010-11 with 24 league goals and 27 in all when Watford finished as the division's second-top scorers.

"The quality is very good here," said the 29-year-old. "From what I've seen it (promotion) is definitely a realistic target. I can see why Wolves have had a successful start to the season.

"The Championship is tough and you've got to be on your mettle every game but if the boys can do that, we certainly have a good chance of promotion."

Jackett believes bigger strikers can mature later, and has seen examples of that this season with Grant Holt at Huddersfield and Glenn Murray at Reading at 33 and 31 respectively.

Graham has a fresh hunger to do well after not playing a league game since May and feels he can do the same.

"Definitely – even more so after sitting around for three months because I'm itching to play," he said. "The hunger is still there - if it wasn't, I wouldn't have come on loan as I've got 18 months left on my contract."

Graham doesn't know why his career has stalled on Wearside but is confident he can rediscover his goal touch at Molineux.

"I moved to Sunderland and for whatever reason, the first 11, 12 games didn't work," he said.

"From the Wolves games I've seen, the wingers are direct and can cross a ball so hopefully that can work to our advantage and we can get off to a good start."
