Saturday's 2-2 draw against Wigan saw Kenny Jackett's side sign off for two weeks in seventh place, but just two points off the top of a highly-congested Championship, after virtually a quarter of the season gone.

And with 19 points from 11 games, the Molineux vice-captain believes the team is just below their target.

The Brierley Hill stopper said: "We are working towards two points a game – that's where we're trying to be at. It's a new division for a lot of us but we've given ourselves a decent start.

"Eight of the 12 games at the weekend finished in draws and that's how the division is going to be.

"All the teams are capable of beating each other – you look at Blackpool against Cardiff on the TV on Friday.

"When you see all those draws, three points is a real bonus, and if we can pick up a few of those wins, we're not going to be far off."

Meanwhile, Batth admitted he and several of his team-mates have been battling flu-like symptoms for the last week.

Wolves resume battle at Millwall a week on Saturday and he is relieved to take a breather.

The 23-year-old said: "It probably isn't a bad time to have a break. A few lads including myself have been struggling with flu over the last week.

"This gives us time to be ready to get back out there at Millwall."
