Midfielder Lee Evans today set his sights on Bolton Wanderers and warned Wolves are close to giving someone a walloping.

Kenny Jackett's side have scored seven goals in seven Championship matches to date but Evans believes they are ready to break the shackles and run riot.

Wanderers are the visitors to Molineux this Saturday and the midfielder is confident the goals will come sooner rather than later.

"I don't think we need to be frightened of anyone in this division," said Evans.

"In the final third, if we can keep improving and score a few more goals then we won't be too far away.

"I don't think we're far away from giving someone a good hiding hopefully, which would be nice.

"We're working every day in training on keeping the ball but we're also working on improving what we do in the final third of the pitch as well.

"It's just trying to add that finish to our game but we'll keep working in training and hopefully on Saturday, we can get a few goals."

Evans, himself, was twice inches away from scoring in Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Charlton, while George Saville and James Henry hit the woodwork.

Bakary Sako was foiled by a superb save from Stephen Henderson. Leon Clarke also missed an excellent chance in his first league start of the season.

Wolves appear determined to increase their striking options with Zambia international Emmanuel Mayuka the latest on their radar after unsuccessful moves on Callum Wilson, Chris Wood, Patrick Bamford and Andy Delort in the last few months.

Bakary Sako is currently top scorer with three goals but Evans felt the forwards – and in particular Clarke and Nouha Dicko – did well at Charlton.

"It was a tough game – in the first half we didn't perform as well we could have, but we dominated the second half and we were unlucky not to get a victory," he added.
