The two-goal star of Saturday's 3-1 win against Blackburn is into the final year of his Molineux deal but looks like staying with the transfer window set to shut at 11pm tonight.

"I'm confident I'll still be at Wolves – I've got my contract so there's no problem with that," said Sako, who has again been linked with Leicester.

"I don't know know if there has been any serious interest, certainly not concrete anyway.

"I'm happy and I'm at Wolves so that's why I keep doing what I'm best at doing.

"As a footballer you have to do it and keep working on the pitch – that's the best answer."

Asked if he would be happy to sign a new deal, the 26-year-old said: "Yes but we haven't talked about that so I'll just keep going and that will be in the future.

"As I've always said, I want to play in the Premier League so I hope we get promoted with Wolves and we'll see.

"So there haven't been any talks, nothing."

Set to remain a Wolves player by tomorrow, the Mali winger is happy to see out his contract. "Of course, because we have a really good team and I'm happy here," he added.

"It's perfect for me so I'm sure I'll be here."

Wolves have won four of their first five games and Sako believes they can remain in the promotion hunt.

"I think Saturday's win stands us in good stead for the future.

"Blackburn are a really good team and they will be in the top six this season. That's what we're working for as well.

"The Championship hasn't surprised me because we have a good team and if we continue to work really hard, I think we can do it this season. I'm always happy to score but the main thing is the team winning."
