Roger Johnson is injured but Jamie O'Hara, Stephen Ward, Kevin Doyle, Tongo Doumbia, Razak Boukari and Georg Margreitter have all been pencilled in to play at AFC Telford United this evening (7.45pm).

Their appearance will mean around £17m worth of talent will be on view at the New Bucks Head, a group that is currently draining around £130,000-a-week from the Molineux coffers, while an 18-man first-team squad travel to Peterborough.

It will be the first time 'group three' have been reunited at a game since the infamous scenes at Brighton when Wolves were relegated to League One in May 2013.

Johnson, O'Hara, Ward, Doyle and Doumbia all played at the AMEX Stadium.

"Roger has an ankle injury and we aren't expecting him to be fit, but certainly the others - Doyle, Ward, Doumbia, Boukari, Margreitter and Jamie O'Hara will all play 45 minutes," said Jackett.

"They're training fine, they've worked hard and will play some part of the game at Telford - all of them I think."

Jackett believes the Wolves fans will give the 'group three' the benefit of the doubt.

"The crowd will understand they're Wolves players and we have to get them fit in pre-season to be able to play games," he said.

"The first-team group is going to Peterborough and that's where my focus will be because I'll be there.

"But for the Telford game, people that need to play to get games in and match fitness, they come into that category at present.

"I'm sure for them to be at their maximum and at their peak to get the moves they want a games programme as part of pre-season is important."

O'Hara's appearance for an Under-21s game at Telford attracted around 40 scouts last season and Jackett is hoping for similar interest.

"I'm sure there will be scouts there – games get covered, as we cover other clubs," he said.

"I don't know how many scouts are planning to go to the game, but I'm sure it will be well covered because our Under-21s games usually are.

"You become aware who's planning to come but it's like any industry, you do get to know people and who's there and who's not."

Wolves squad tonight: McCarey, Dutton, O'Hanlon, Ebanks-Landell, Hause, Foley, Ward, Margreitter, Forde, Bancessi, O'Hara, Doumbia, Boukari, Cassidy, Doyle, McAlinden.
