Wolves have added £1m-rated Middlesbrough striker Lukas Jutkiewicz to their wanted list, it emerged today – as Hull emerged favourites to sign Molineux target Harry Maguire.

Head coach Kenny Jackett will compete for target man Jutkiewicz with Bolton and Blackburn.

Jutkiewicz, who has a year left on his contract, finished the season on loan at Bolton and his tally of seven goals in 20 games is the best return of his career which made him a firm favourite with the Trotters faithful.

But Wolves will fancy their chances with Bolton boss Dougie Freedman doubting their ability to sign the 25-year-old because of £164m debts at the renamed Macron Stadium.

And Wolves could even dangle the carrot of a swap deal involving Kevin Doyle, who Boro were interested in taking on loan in January.

Doyle, who has a year left of his £40,000-a-week contract at Molineux, is one of nine senior players Jackett is looking to move on this summer.

Boro boss Aitor Karanka is looking to move on Jutkiewicz and bring in his own striking targets after a modest tally of 11 goals in 64 League games at the Riverside following a £1.3m switch from Coventry in January 2012.

Jackett has added Jutkiewicz to a list containing Coventry's Callum Wilson and Leicester's Chris Wood.

Southampton-born Jutkiewicz is of Polish ancestry but has played all of his career here.

Meanwhile, Hull are now in talks for Sheffield United defender Maguire.

Their Premier League status and wages are expected to lure the 21-year-old to Humberside rather than the West Midlands, despite his vastly reduced chances of regular football there.

Hull have offered out-of-contract former Wolves defender Joleon Lescott a contract and also have Curtis Davies in-situ at the back.

Wolves, who are set to receive an approach for winger Zeli Ismail from Notts County, have confirmed the exit of Under-21s coach Steve Weaver and Under-18s coach Mick Halsall, as reported in the Express & Star on May 20.

In a statement, the club said: "Following an internal academy re-structure, Wolves can confirm Steve Weaver and Mick Halsall have left the club."

Wolves have fixed matchday admission for adults at £1 less than when they were last in the Championship in 2012-13, with concession rates frozen.
