James Henry return boosts Wolves

James Henry will be back to boost Wolves as they look to edge closer to promotion at Crewe on Saturday, it emerged today.

The nine-goal winger has recovered from a groin injury that kept him out of Saturday's 2-0 win against Peterborough after he was forced off 11 minutes into the 0-0 draw at Stevenage on Tuesday.

"Touch wood I'm hoping to be back available for the weekend," said the former Millwall wideman.

"It's settled down really quickly and I'm doing a bit of running and we'll see how it goes.

"It was more of a nerve problem. It's just been about calming that down and getting it right for this weekend hopefully."

Rotherham and Brentford play their game in hand tonight away to Sheffield United and at home to Crawley respectively.

Defeat for Rotherham would leave Wolves needing just three points to confirm promotion.

But Henry isn't getting carried away, saying: "There's a bit of a gap there now depending on games tonight, but we've just got to concentrate on Crewe on Saturday and trying to get the result to take us even closer.

"I think we've been dealing with everything fairly well so far.

"It's about taking each game as it comes and trying to win whenever we go out there.

"Everyone's main goal is to get promoted, and if we do that I think everyone's goal would then be the title."

Henry is targeting more goals and assists to see Wolves promoted at the earliest opportunity.

"Nine goals from midfield is my best tally," he said.

"It would be even better if I could get to double figures and hopefully I can get a goal or two and a couple more assists to help see us over the line."

Henry is also hoping it will be third time lucky in the promotion stakes after helping Millwall and Reading to go up but not be there when it's happened.

"I'd been on loan at Millwall and they got promoted but got injured so went back to Reading," he said.

"And when Reading got promoted I'd been out on loan at Millwall!

"So it would be nice to be in a promotion where I've made a good contribution."

Meanwhile, Henry said he came off more as a precaution to prevent the injury getting worse.

"I knew it wasn't major but had I carried on, it would have done more damage," he added.

"Hopefully now I've a good chance of being involved."
