Eusebio is set for his Wolves debut as the Under-21s take on Middlesbrough at Hartlepool United tonight (7pm).
The 17-year-old Portuguese winger – full name Eusebio Bancessi – is in line for his first appearance in a gold shirt after his international clearance came through.
Midfielder Dave Edwards, who was expected to play after his foot injury on the opening day of the season in the 0-0 draw at Preston North End, has moved back into the first-team thinking. Anthony Forde and Liam McAlinden are the only first-teamers involved in Steve Weaver’s side.
The Under-21s have taken four points from their last two games, beating Stoke and drawing 4-4 at Fulham, after being beaten in the first two.
Wolves U21s: Flatt; Kostrna, Ihiekwe, Tank, Cranston; Bancessi, Whittall, Jakobsson, Forde; Kellerman, McAlinden. Subs: Moli, Parry, Iorfa, Carter, Dutton (gk).
Meanwhile, Roger Johnson today completed his three-month loan move to Sheffield Wednesday.
Johnson, who will take a pay-cut to make the move happen, is teaming up with his former Cardiff boss Dave Jones.
Ex-Wolves manager Jones said: “We are pleased Roger is here because he is a fantastic talent. He has the stage here to perform.”
