Jackett hopes to complete the £750,000 signing of the 24-year-old Sheffield United midfielder tomorrow after a stringent medical that straddled the weekend.

The Blades were forced to accept Wolves' bid after it activated a release clause in his contract. Jackett believes the 6ft 4ins Scot, who is rated as arguably the best midfielder in League One, will wow the fans.

"I've liked Kevin for a long time," said Jackett.

"He has good stature and good presence but he's a ball player. He can move the ball, he's two-footed, and, although he's a big lad, he'll give us a range of passing."
