Mouyokolo wants Wolves return

Forgotten man Steven Mouyokolo today vowed Wolves fans would see the best of him as he prepares to step up his rehabilitation.

Forgotten man Steven Mouyokolo today vowed Wolves fans would see the best of him as he prepares to step up his rehabilitation.

The £2.5m former Hull defender signed by Mick McCarthy two years ago is back at Compton with a view to being fit by September after surgery to repair a partial rupture to the cruciate ligament in his left knee.

“I know what I’m capable of and the fans haven’t seen it here yet,” said the stopper.

“I’m probably a couple of months away from being back in training. I’m looking forward to trying to show people what I can do.”

Does any one remember this man?? I know i've seen his face somewhere before but...

Cornish Wolf

Injury prone. Get him gone.

Up The Wolves

Albrightondek

This is a player who came to Wolves with a good reputation. Sadly he has never been fully fit.

Deserves another chance if he can overcome his injury problems.

Staales Syrup!

Great news! Hope his enthusiasm spreads.

This is the spirit we need and to get us back in the prem. Hope it goes well for you Steve.

UTW.

Stafford DeWolf

Big asset to Wolves when fit, with plenty of ability. Face didn't fit with Mick. Hope he makes a full recovery. We need him.

Sedgley Slayer

No one will sign him as he is injured and has a shattered reputation so I guess we are stuck with him although you have to ask yourself how bad is this guy if he couldn't get a look in with Berra, Stearman, Craddock, Johnson, and even Elokobi ahead of him at centre-back?

We do really need a good clear out at the Mol, especially in the defense.

Personally I wouldn't be too upset to see any of our defence leave although i would like to see Danny Batth given a chance.

PeteNuts

Six reasons why we should give him a go:

1) He has performed at this level in the past.

2) Richard Stearman.

3) Christophe Berra.

4) Roger Johnson.

5) He actually wants to play for us.

6) He can't possibly replicate THAT miss again.

OxWearingSocks

You can't be worse than Stears or Johnson mate, and if you've got something to prove then a great time to show it.

Wolf at gate

From memory he was quite a competant, quick defender who was good in the air !

Be good to see him have a clean slate, and hopefully he will impress Stole !

Simrozwwfc

Peter nuts do you mean the missed header against Bolton?

Breretonwolf

In the Season that Hull City stayed up, Mouyokolo was one of the main reasons.

Since being at Woles he has never been fully fit, but I stil believe he could come good again.

Realist

Does he then? Another one of Mick and Montmerency Moxeys super buys. Bit like the HOff!!!!!

T'other side of the Taymar

I knows you'm a bit slow down there in Cornwall (you laughs at Jethro eventually) but ....injury prone !

Every player takes a hit during his career, or praps you ain't been a watchin'

@10

I surely do. Shudder...

wol1877ves

cmon people every player at this club deserves a new chance be it kolo or johnson i dont care what they have done before as long as they are at the club i have supported for over 30 years i will give them a chance so why dont you,we got a new manager now and he will play it different to mad mick and hopefully he can get the best out of these players, and if he can't then they will go as simple as that staale will know when the time comes,2/7/2012,,,,WE ARE WOLVES,,,,/\WWFC/\

Stale the Viking

How some of you guys can call yourselves wolves fans is well beyond me. this bloke has had a hard time getting back he wants to show the fans what he can really do and all some of you can do his shoot him down. give him a chance you may yet be suprised.

Wolve ay we!

Mills Wolf

Guy could be a hidden gem

Fans need to give him the chance BUT.....

you need to pay us back for the 450k its cost us to see you per match so far & thats not including wages !

GOOD LUCK !

Silver Wolf

14 - I enjoyed that. Regarding the pasties, I see they've avoided the VAT man. Regarding Jethro - enjoy him immensely. Regarding injury prone - I do hope we have damned good insurance for our players, sometimes it has seemed more like Emergency Ward 10 than a football club.

SEATTLE WOLF

Supposedly, very competent going forward, good header of the ball, box to box, positionally sound and willing to make the gutsy tackles.

Who in defence was able to do that consistently? Exactly...truly, nobody! Thus, let's hope he can impress and perform to the ability we were told he could display, week in and week out. I saw him play for Hull and thought, "there's a decent defender.". But, almost immediately, he got inured, came back, then broke down again.

Give him one more chance!

Loved that.

Jethro is a mate, he laughes at my supporting Wolves. Sometimes I think he's right.

Pasties used to make up to 2000 a day. Thank God I'm retired.

Smugglin' you can't seriously expect me to say now can you?

Up The Wolves

P.S. He's still injury prone!

wanderer in eire

Only one thing to say "OUT".!

We have to be ruthless as a club his injury record means only ever available for the odd game or two.

steve hill

anybody's injury prone when they do a knee or an ankle as they put strain on other bits by over compensating..i hope kolo comes back strong..could be a useful player.. As for Jethro..well i enjoyed a few portions of his act a few months ago @ the Sub Rooms in Stroud where I work... Im a Wolves Wolf who now lives in Glarstersheer..but i can make myself understood with sign language and drawing in the sand on Stroud Beach.. The smuggling round here has died down since they closed the canal..
