Wolves Res 0 Fulham Res 1 – report and pictures

Jamie O’Hara made his comeback as Wolves Reserves went down to Boumesca Tue Na Bangna’s goal at AFC Telford.
O’Hara played 45 minutes in his first game since double hernia surgery in December while Jody Craddock played a full game as he continued his comeback from a hamstring problem.

Trialist Mark Fotheringham also completed 90 minutes but the trio could not help Wolves avoid defeat as Bangna’s struck the winning in the second half.
Fulham were the first side to threaten, winning a 14th-minute free-kick when Ethan Ebanks-Landell chopped down Tom Donegan, but the Cottagers striker drove the set-piece hard into the Wolves wall.
Moments later it was Wolves’ turn to go close when keeper Neil Etheridge spilled O’Hara’s long-range shot but sprung back to his feet to save Matt Doherty’s follow-up.
And the keeper did well again to keep out Ebanks-Landell’s header from a John Gorman corner before Jake Cassidy’s backheel follow-up was kept out by a deflection.
Then Fulham striker Laurie Dalla Valle pounced on a loose pass by Wolves and raced into the box but fired wide.
There was a low-key start to the second half but Wolves eventually tested Etheridge on the hour-mark, Cassidy forcing the keeper into a low stop to keep out a shot from distance.
And seconds later the keeper made an even better save to save a neat flick from Cassidy.
Fulham had been pegged back in their own half for 25 minutes but they broke away and Donegan flashed a shot just side from distance.
And the visitors broke the deadlock on 71 minutes when Jack Price failed to cut out a diagonal ball and Bangna stole in.
He got the benefit of a lucky break when he was challenged by keeper Aaron McCarey before rolling a shot into the empty net despite Ebanks-Landell’s desperate attempt to clear off the line.
