Jamie O’Hara ruled out for six weeks by Wolves
Thursday 22nd December 2011, 12:00PM GMT.
Wolves midfielder Jamie O’Hara was today ruled out for up to six weeks after surgery on a double hernia.
The grim bulletin from Steve Kemp, head of Wolves’ medical department, comes as the club head into their toughest fixture sequence of the campaign.
Kemp said: “Jamie has been complaining of some groin pain for the last couple of months.
“We were able to manage it with treatment and he was able to play, but it got to a stage where a specialist decided that surgery would be needed.
“We hope he will be back in training within four to six weeks’ time.”
Mick McCarthy’s side now hit the road to face Arsenal and Bolton away, with a decision expected today from the Gunners on whether that match will take place on Boxing Day or December 27.
And Nenad Milijas today insisted Wolves must become a 90-minute team to stay up this season.
The Serbia playmaker has started the last two games where Wolves took just one point from six at home against Stoke and Norwich, the latter his 50th Premier League appearance.
He said: “If we want to stay up, we must repeat our good performances for 90 minutes.
“In the last few games it’s been a case of in the first-half not so good, in the second-half great, or first-half great, second-half not so good.
“We must produce for 90 minutes.”

oh well, thats us relegated then, only saving grace is if mick gets the sack which i cant see happening, despite the fact that its glaringly obvious he has taken the club as far as he can, leave him in charge and we will be back where we started all those years back. ive been an avid fan of mick over those years too, but the loss against stoke and the manner of the performance against norwich had made ma patience run out. get him gone..
MICK OUT!

Let’s hope the rest and operation helps him to regain his top form when he returns. Good luck Jamie.

One of our players that have been off form by some distance. Hopefully when he comes back, he can have a fresh start and put in some of the performances that we saw from him last season. Hopefully this gives Milijas a chance to prove himself, as he has shown that his passing is excellent if a little bit rusty from lack of appearances. He deserves a good run in the side, and he can be a match winner for us.
I dont think it would be hard to beleive that with players like O’hara, Jarvis, Hunt, Doyle, Johnson, Zubar etc, all fully fit and in form, we could beat most teams outside the top 8. We havent had that so far this season, but if we get it for the second half of the season, Im confident that we ca\n still have a good season.
