Jody Craddock has hinted he will retire if Wolves don’t extend his contract in the summer.
The evergreen defender turns 37 next July after his latest 12-month deal expires when he will have given nine years’ service at Molineux.
And, with a burgeoning career as an artist already in the pipeline, the father-of-three has plenty in his life outside of football.
Craddock is Wolves’ longest-serving player having joined for £1.75million in July 2003 and has decided against dropping down the divisions, mainly because of his art, following several successful exhibitions.
He said: “I will be at Wolves or I won’t play any more. If I had left Wolves earlier I’d have been looking to move down the divisions to carry on playing.
“It was never a problem for me because I’ve been there before but, at the age I am now, I don’t think that would be the case anymore.”
