Jamie O’Hara ‘go to’ man for Wolves
Friday 28th October 2011, 1:30PM BST.
Wolves midfielder Jamie O’Hara is ready to be a ‘go-to’ man going forwards – starting at Manchester City.
O’Hara scored his second goal in as many games in Wednesday’s Carling Cup 5-2 defeat to City, ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League meeting between the two teams.
And the 25-year-old revealed that boss Mick McCarthy wants him to revert to ‘the hole’ behind Kevin Doyle, where he enjoyed success last season when on loan.
The £3.5million summer signing said: “I had a chat with the gaffer and he’s going to try to play me a bit further up the field.
“He wants to maybe try to get me in the hole because we always play against three in midfield and it’s difficult to deal with. Hopefully if I can get in the spaces, I can keep scoring goals.”
