Kevin Foley injury setback for Wolves

Wolves were today dealt a further blow with news that Kevin Foley could be out for a month after ankle surgery.

The news comes after manager Mick McCarthy confirmed three-goal top scorer Steven Fletcher is out for three to four weeks with a torn calf.

Versatile Ireland international Foley underwent an operation on his troublesome ankle today.

He said: “It depends on what type of operation he has as to how long he’s out. We always try conservative treatment but they’re just going to open him up to see.

“I think it’s only going to be a little clear-up operation so hopefully it will only be four weeks. It’s a blow because he’s a really versatile player for us.”
