Wolves defenders target derby return
Monday 10th October 2011, 4:00PM BST.
Ronald Zubar and Jody Craddock today insisted they were ready to play a part in helping Wolves end their losing run at the Hawthorns.
The defenders will use tomorrow’s reserve game against Aston Villa at Molineux as the next step of their recovery from injury.
Zubar, an unused substitute in the Newcastle defeat before the international break, played his first 90 minutes since February in the second string against Albion a week ago after back and groin problems.
And Craddock is ready for his first game since August 23 after groin and hamstring niggles.
He said: “It does feel good now. Hopefully, I’ll play in the reserve game against Villa tomorrow and I can get through that.”
Zubar added: “I’m going to ask the gaffer if I can have a run-out in the reserves against Villa – maybe an hour or 70 minutes just to help with my fitness.”
