Carling Cup fourth round draw

Wolves have been paired with moneybags Manchester City in the fourth round of the Carling Cup.

Mick McCarthy’s men have been rewarded for their 5-0 mauling of Millwall in the third round with another home tie at Molineux, against Roberto Mancini’s millionaires.

There are four all-Premier League ties in the round, with last season’s beaten finalists Arsenal at home to Bolton while Liverpool go to Stoke. Chelsea visit Everton, while Blackburn host Newcastle.

There’s also two all-Championship draws, with Cardiff welcoming Burnley and Crystal Palace playing Southampton at Selhurst Park.

And what a draw from League Two club Aldershot, who host reigning Premier League champions Manchester United.

All ties will played in the week commencing 24 October 2011.

We beat them in ’74 in the final and City had a better team then than they have now.

Mind you, our team then was MUCH better than the one we have now.

And we did it without Jez Moxey

Wonder if ticket prices will reward those of us that went to Northampton or went to the Millwall game?, if not its perhaps time to start watching at the pub

What a waste of time entering the draw, McCarthy has made it clear he has no interest in the cups, only finishing 17th and keeping his job; Jez are you surprised by 7000 gates when the fans know the cups are not being taken seriously by MM ?

No 3. Support your team whatever, instead of moaning, typical armchair fan. Just so you know, Molineux is the big yellow building by Asda in Waterloo road.
