Time to map out a plan for Villa's future
- Says blogger Matthew Turvey
Steven Fletcher unlikely to face QPR
Friday 16th September 2011, 1:59PM BST.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy today all but wrote off Steven Fletcher’s chances of facing Queens Park Rangers.
Fletcher has failed to train all week because of a groin injury sustained against Tottenham last Saturday.
McCarthy said today: “Steven still hasn’t trained so it’s unlikely he will be involved.”
Fletcher’s problem is expected to see Stephen Ward shifted up front from his excellent start at left-back, where George Elokobi looks set to make his first Premier League start of the season.
There was better news from the rest of Wolves’ casualties, with ankle victims Stephen Hunt and Kevin Foley also fit.
And Matt Jarvis has trained all week after an injection in his ankle.
