Wolves manager Mick McCarthy today insisted Jamie O’Hara has nothing to prove as the midfielder prepared to face his old club Tottenham.
The 24-year-old midfielde faces Spurs for the first time since arriving at Molineux from White Hart Lane for £3.5million in the summer, following a successful loan spell.
McCarthy said: “He’s got nothing at all to prove to me because he’s been terrific since coming here. He’s wanted to be part of things here. Good luck to him that he left because he’s made us a better team.
“At Spurs he went out on loan and learned his trade like a lot of them have to do, so they might not see it as a loss because they sold him.
“But it’s my gain – we’ve got a really good player.”
